Event #10 - CAMEYO Enabling Simple Secure Access

Learn how Cameyo enables school districts to provide last-mile Windows apps such as Adobe, Autodesk, MS Office, and many other software titles to support their students on any device including Chromebook and iPad.

School districts understand that a 1:1 initiative gives you many advantages when it comes to enabling in-class and remote learning, but there is one key issue – many courses still rely on at least one Windows application that cannot be accessed on Chromebooks. Cameyo is the secure Virtual Application Delivery platform designed to host Windows apps in the cloud. In this session, you will learn how school districts have adopted Cameyo to help them provide last-mile Windows apps such as Adobe, Autodesk, MS Office, and many other software titles to support their students on any device including Chromebook and iPad. We will cover: - How schools are enabling the secure delivery of Windows to any device both for distance learning and to ensure a seamless, productive learning experience for students regardless of location. - See a demo of how schools are utilizing Cameyo’s virtual application delivery (VAD) platform to publish Windows apps to their students within minutes, not weeks. - An overview of the ROI schools are seeing from utilizing Chromebooks & Cameyo from hard cost savings to the elimination of PC labs, to the reduction in management time required.

Event #31 - LEARNPLATFORM Evolving With Evidence

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1dcx56tEXWDgJC9xSQ1mauDpidUjpJyGwYo05xys957c/edit?usp=sharing

The Critical Role of Network, IT, and Tech Departments in UT LEAs

With so much money supporting technology initiatives, administrators need to get the most out of their IT spend and understand how edtech products are working for educators and students. Join us to hear how IT departments can lead work involving data and evidence with use cases from UT and beyond.

Many LEAs are rethinking the role of network, IT, and tech departments to ensure greater alignment with overall strategy and learning plans. These groups can bridge the gap between traditional operational functions of IT and instructional groups such as C&I and content-focused teams. Additionally, IT and tech staff have the ability to foster a mindset that recognizes technology as a tool for learners and educators to continuously innovate and grow. As IT staff roles evolve from being the technology gatekeepers to being technology enablers, it is imperative that they and others are empowered to address the curricular and business needs of each department within a school district. Join us to learn how network, IT, and tech departments can embrace this evolution with a focus on evidence to drive understanding of edtech effectiveness. LearnPlatform works with hundreds of LEAs of all shapes and sizes to equip leaders in this space with the tools to get the most out of your edtech portfolio, and as a state-supported platform, you can too with no LEA funds needed. You will hear stories from the field and take away practical resources you can use today.
